After the students have read about the Church's use of technology, consider taking them on an internet tour around the world. Bookmark a few Web sites in advance. Start in Rome, at the Web sites of Vatican Radio and Vatican Television. Move on to Australia to visit a parish or two "down under," then to Africa to visit the Web site of the local Catholic Youth Movement. End your tour at the Web site of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?
The Jewish religious and governing system was divided between two parties: the Pharisees – the ‘people’s party’, taught the law and traditions of Israel’s patriarchs, and were strictly conforming to Jewish law; and the Sadducees – the wealthy and conservative leaders who rejected the traditions in favor of political and religious cooperation with the Romans.

Okay so based on this.....I'd say a Democrat is a Pharisee & a Republican is a Sadducee......geez.......makes me not wanna be either :(

Jesuss actions at the temple
From my husband. Further more it would teach us that sin is negotiable. Sin is not. It seperates us from the presence of God. Look what happened at the garden of Eden. God did not negotiate than, and Adam and Eve had everything we could ever hope for. The message was and is, that we are called to be holy as He is holy and nothing but complete obedience to the word of God is going to get us heaven. That is what Jesus died for. To anyone who has been beaten, abused, slandered, hurt... Would you want to know Jesus negotiated with your abuser.
