It is as simple as that. If we really believe He will return soon, this parable shows that our belief will regulate our lives, keeping us from extremes of conduct. What things should we, as faithful and wise servants, be doing while we wait for the return of Jesus? We must be waiting for Jesus to return each minute and live our lives according to His teachings so we will be ready to go with Him.
