So Jesus was moved with pity and concern for the man with leprosy (and all of Gods children) that He wished to help this man, no matter the negative effect that it might have on himself. I can say that I have always been filled with compassion towards people. Especially when I was a child. However; as I got older and I was continuously hurt by others, I began to slowly lose that strong sense of compassion for people. Yet, as God has been opening my heart and eyes the past month or so, I feel a renewing in my passion to help others. I know that I wan't to dedicate my life to aiding other people in seeing God and finding happiness. Jesus took time away from everything and everyone so that He could commune with the Father. This is something that I really need to work on. I get distracted so easily. It would be beneficial to me to start taking a set time out of my day and go to a specific place to pray, where I cannot be bothered or distracted. That way I can focus solely on talking to God and hearing His voice better in my life.
What is compassion, and do you possess it?
