I suspect they had this preconcieved notion that since they knew JESUS to be a commoner amongst their people how could he possibly be the messiah, the one GOD sent to save us from our sins. Because of this unbelief JESUS did not try to convince them otherwise through his mighty works. He went on teaching & performing these acts to those who were thirsty for the truth.

How come the unbelief of His countrymen prevented Jesus from performing many mighty works among them? Because they knew where he came from and they didn't see him as any better or different from them, so they thought there would be no way he could be Jesus.

How come the unbelief of His countrymen prevented Jesus from performing many mighty works among them? Because Jesus grew up with these people, they did not believe He is who He is and therefore had no faith. Blessings.
