What did the Pharisees say against the Holy Spirit and why was it such a serious offense? The Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by the prince of the demons. By stating this, they did not believe that he IS the Son of God and therefore speaking against the Holy Spirit....which is unforgiveable.

What did the Pharisees say against the Holy Spirit and why was it such a serious offense? The Pharisees did not believe in Christ, therefore they used anything they could to go against Him. It is definitely blasphemy and that is a very grave sin against God. Blessings.
