27012 entries for this category: What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you? I had never heard before that the people of Jesus' time were superstitious. That is very interesting. Also, I learned specifically what celebrating Passover is for.....delivery of Jews from Egyptian slavery. Finally, that because Passover was celebrated by most in Jerusalem, there were more Jews than normal in the city when Jesus was crusified.

In your own words, write down what the phrase, "good news of God" means? The 'good news of God' is His message that He is coming, our sins are forgiven, and the kingdom of heaven is waiting for us. The good news is Jesus and His message.
