How is Jesus` teaching like fresh wine requiring fresh wineskins?

JESUS came to spread the good news and to begin a new covenant with man so his FATHER's will would be done. His minstry challenged the people of the day to aspire to a greater level of faith, love, peacefulness and understanding. In the end, I interpret the people of the day like old wineskins (believing in the original convenant/message). Once JESUS came with his teachings (fresh wine) he was opening their minds and in a way challenging them to become like new wineskins (or able to receive and absorb his message). For, if the people of the day did not open their hearts to receive JESUS, the new message would not be absorbed by the people and thusly would burst the old wineskin mindset.

When we give our lives to God we have to take on the new life and leave the old life. New creation, new spirit!

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are like new wineskins ready to receive His word like new wine.  Blessings.
