27012 entries for this category: Because it's a show of love and devotion. If you go to church or pray in public, then there are many eyes to see and observe what you do. However, if you pray in private then there can be no doubt that you are doing it solely because of your love for the LORD and your devotion to him. Publicly, in some situations, when you pray, the focus may not always be placed on the LORD directly. Why does God appreciate prayers in secret more than public prayers? God wants our prayers to be between us, God and man, not for self-serving or attention from others, just us and God. Blessings.

Why did Jesus instruct his followers to react passively when attacked? To show your love for man and God. Even though Jehova, our God brought death and destruction to many who were unfaithful to him, he had taught us that only He was to judge and would punish and that we were to love one another.
