Given the scandals associated with the women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), why do you think they were mentioned in the geneology of Jesus?

It provides perspective. We know  everyone before JESUS and after for that matter was or will be of sin. JESUS was the only person in our history who has been without sin. Despite the nature of the sin caused by these women, it demostrates that the world was imperfect. Even the lineage in which JESUS was born.

JESUS was born into this world so through him all of our sins would be forgiven. AMEN!

To show that within the geneology of Jesus even sinners can be saved. Jesus died for our sins. Blessings.

If it is God's will he can save anyone. He is a loving and forgiving Father. He knew their sin and loved them, they are his children too.
