I believe Jesus chose this method for several reasons: 1) they worked all night to catch fish, but didn't catch any until they followed Jesus's instructions.

2)Jesus, even after daeth is still and always will be with us. Jesus had a fire going with fish already cooked and he fed the disciples.

3) We need our lord and savior to guide us and show us what we need to do for his purposes.
