What type of circumstances are there today that might lead one to be a disciple of Jesus, but in secret, like Joseph of Arimathea? Fear of persecution and worries that being an upfront Christian may hinder your chances in promotions, relationships, etc. Christians are still persecuted in many countries. Blessings.

What type of circumstances are there today that might lead one to be a disciple of Jesus, but in secret, like Joseph of Arimathea? There are places in the world where it is against the law to be a christian. There are places where believers are being persecuted and even killed. these are the places where being a disciple in secret might be nessecary to still spread the gospel.
