Jesus is loving and forgiving and knew that Peter would repent of denying Him.The death of Lazarus Jesus used to show His divinity. Doing the work of the Father, Jesus raised Lazarus and glorified God. Through the Father, Jesus had that power. Also, raising Lazarus from the dead was a precursor to the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Something or someone would try to snatch sheep out of Jesus' hand to discredit Jesus. Jesus tells us that no one can snatch us away from Him, but satan will use many tools to deceive us into thinking otherwise. Praise God, for His grace is greater than our doubts.
