Given the scandals associated with the women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), why do you think they were mentioned in the geneology of Jesus? They played an important role throughout all the generations leading up to the birth of the Christ. They were all mentioned in the scriptures and were to be taught to the people.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Yes, He was letting them know that their Heavenly Father was with them leading and protecting them. It was their task to carry on His teachings and to be Savior for those on Earth.
