Why did Jesus wash the disciples` feet when Judas was present, rather than watiing until that betrayer had left?

To me, its a demonstration of JESUS' love for all his disciples, even though Judas would later betray him. While at the moment the other disciples were unaware of the upcoming betrayal, they would later understand and look back at this act of love and use it as an example to follow for all time. That is, JESUS even in the face of his betrayer, loved & cleansed him. What greater example could one teach as a sign of loving someone who was infected with the seed of evil.

Why did Jesus allow Judas to betray Him, when He clearly knew Judas` evil intention?

Because Jesus was following the will of God. I also believe he was showing his followers, fear not for death is the beginning of new life in Heaven with our Heavenly Father.

Jesus loved everyone and was willing to forgive for he knew that God, his Father, was in control of his destiny. Jesus knew he was sent to save everyone and give them the chace to have eternal life in the Kingdom of God. He knew Judas was to betray him and his love for everyone let Judas know it was ok.
