Mary's annointing was so meaningful to Jesus because instead of using the precious...and expensive oil for other purposes such as selling it and helping the poor, she used the most valuable oil to annoint Him, who would only be here for a short time. Mary obviously thought Jesus was worthy of the most precious thing that she had because of her faith and love of Jesus.

Mary's annointing was so precious to Christ because, although she could have, as Judas suggested, sold the ointment to provide for the poor, she chose to annoint the feet of the Savior in preparation for his death. As Jesus stated, the poor will always be here; He was in their presence for only a short time. Wow! To be in the preence of Christ must have been glorifying!!
