The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

Doin the right thing is often the hard thing to do and takes one on the unpopular road of hardships. Politicians in their will to please the populace will allow popular voters to have their way despite the moral consequences. This was the case with the rulers of the Jewish Nation who choose their governing system over the gift of grace.

The passover celebrated the saving grace of God over his people while at the same time remembering his wrath against the Egyptians who opressed his people. It was basically a feast honouring the loyalty of God. The new covenant was cut with the Blood of the Lamb of God and the act of partaking in the feast reminded beleivers of the covenaNT made with the blood of Jesus.
