Jesus exaggerates to makes the point that one should eliminate things that cause one to sin (disobey God). What things might you eliminate to be more spiritually healthy?

One must put to death the ways of the flesh. Apostle Paul said he died daily to the flesh but was made alive in Jesus. This is putting off the things of the flesh which is increasingly antagonistic to the Holy Spirit. The flesh will seek to be satisfied and will rebel strongly against any attempt to starve its desires. This will hurt real bad - but only for a season.

How does Jesus define greatness, and is caring for a little child an example of greatness?

Jesus said Love is the fulfillment of all the commandments. Loving with the innocence of a child and growing form our childlike faith is what Christ desires for us. One learns of god as a child in sureender and them begins to grow as he/she is nourished in the body of christ.

The boy`s father said to Jesus, "I do believe; help my unbelief." How does Jesus respond to the father`s honest request for help with unbelief? What does this teach you?

The Boy's father would have heard about Jesus and would have had some faith in him. However, he would have been living with his son who would have been enduring the affliction and would have been subjected to previous spiritual care. The failure of the earlier attempts of the father to free his son would have contributed to the unblief and doubt of the father. This is where jesus comes in, He is out redeemer, our pardon, our savior, our curse, our sacrifice, in his place we are set free form spiritual curse.
