He shared many moments with Jesus but was not an open follower of Jesus. Because of his status and the conflicts with the leaders in the Jewish Society, Joseph worshiped Jesus in secret. When Jesus was dead he reasoned that it was not dangerous to act in love because the threat was nullified.

Why did the Pharisees call Jesus a deceiver? The Pharisees called Jesus a deceiver because they did not believe he was the Son of God. They did not believe in his work, they felt he was blaspheming. They even felt that his disciples would steal his body and and said he is risen. But the word was true and still lives on today. Thank you Lord

What do you think might have led Joseph of Arimathaea to be a disciple of Jesus? Joseph of Arimathaea was led to be a disciple of Jesus because he believed in Jesus and he was led by the holy spirit, he saw the good works the Lord had done for him and other, and to show his love for him he became a disiciple of Jesus. He expressed this love by going to Pilate, and asking for Jesus` body. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given up. Joseph took the body, and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock, and he rolled a great stone to the door of the tomb,
