The Saducees were not willing to venture out of their religious system which taught that there was no resurrection. Studying the word word have revealed the ressurrective power of God. This would have been dealt with in the Book of Job and the Psalms - to mention a few...the truth would have set them free but they were not willing to break down the old false system of laws.

Why do you think the Saducees did not know the Scriptures or the power of God? The Saducees did not know the Scriptures from the way they interrupted the resurrection and Moses teaching. Jesus told them they were mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures. These people did not understand the scriptures, nor the power of God. They had their own interruption. They saw God as a dead, and not living. But God is really. So Jesus explained it to hem and they were astonished at his teaching.
