Define Compassion?

Compassion is the feeling that moved Jesus to act in healing, feeling, rebuking, saving, etc in order to help change the conditions in the lives of the people. Jesus had the power to act and he acted out of compassion displaying great love for the people of all walks of life.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?

The most surprising revelation from the background of Jesus is that of his education. Jesus was part of society, he was central to the poorest sector and thereby inhereted for his earthly parents such riches as they could afford. It would seem that resource endowments were key to the future of the child. Jesus at the age of 12 was already baffling the learned teachers of men. Jesus was taught by God as there is not single claim the he came for the school of ANY MAN - which is an impossible to have with the dept of knowledge he posessed at such tender age. Jesus knew from the belief of the Jews that they will never accept him because of that very system which they wer quite comfortable with and the FACT that they striclty beleived in ONE god. Jesus`s claims to be God resulted in attempt stoning for blasphemy - yet Jesus was doing the will of God in the midst of such impossibility. Another thing with the Jewish belief is that today with such free and easy access to education, the bible, churches, etc, more people are confused when asked about the Trinity - cau u imagine how difficult it would have been for the Jews in the time of our LORD - granted they had the benefit of many miracles.
