336 entries for this category: Jesus warned about the wrong behavior of the scribes they liked to be important in front of people but they were hypocrite. We do have people who act like this now, people that want to have the best seats in ceremonies and worships,`people who are say bad things about neighbors and who feel that they deserve the best of all. What was Jesus trying to teach about giving (amount, motive, attitute)? Jesus was trying to say that we have to give according to the amount of money we receive because our job comes from God so we must give Him a good part of it ( at least the tenth part).

Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notâ€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18). Because we have to love God and know Him and after that we can love neighbors. If we do not love neighbors we can see it is impossible to love God that we can not see. God is love so all christians have to love each other as our Father does.
