Why was the king so angry when those invited did not come to the wedding banquet? What point was Jesus making with this parable? In this parable, Jesus calls us for a Banquet. God sent His Prophets through history to talk about justice, mercy and confidence; then sent Jesus and the apostles. The king celebrates the marriage of his son who represents Christ. The banquet represents the Mass. Everybody is invited to receive the body of God. People who come to the church are wearing wedding, this represents a pure, just and responsible life be because many are called but few are chosen.

Why was the Kingdom of God taken away from the chief priests and Pharisees? In this parable, the vineyard represents the Kingdom of God. The Jews were people of God, they were chose by Him, God wanted to see fraternity, justice, responsibility between them but He saw the opposite so He sent the Prophets but people did not listen to them, then God sent His own Son: Jesus, and He was crucified. Therefore, the Kingdom of God was taken away from the chief priest and Pharisees,
