I think Jesus wants that we understand that everybody has time to be happy and time to be sad in life, specially when a disease appears or for money problemas, but it does not mean that God punishes us but that we are on earth so we have to wait until going to heaven.

What might Jesus recommend to two people having a legal dispute? Jesus might recommend fraternal reconciliation and avoid going to the judge. I think that Luke refers also to our own conversion to Jesus Christ, we do not have to lose this opportunity of saving before going to the presence of God.

What "division" did Jesus intend to bring between people? I think that Jesus intends to bring the division between christians (believers) and nonbelievers (atheist), now we can see that many people do not believe in God, money is the God for many people and the mass media is one of the reasons.
