It tells us he is the all-powerful, all-knowing miraculous Son of the living God and can do anything through the Father who sent Him. He said if you believe you can say to the mountain move and it will move. Jesus is confident and we should be too. He is worthy to be praised.

The people were not only conducting business, they were using the temple as a gambling house. The temple is a sacred place, a place were Jesus and his followers would go to pray and make atonements.

Jesus also realised that they were cheating the people, they focus would not be on praying or the Word of God it was only on making money.
