What was in the heart of this one man that the other nine men seemed to lack?

This man was greatful to Jesus for healing him, he saw a miracle and could not keep it to himself. He had to give Jesus all the thanks and praise, so he glorified God by falling at Jesus' feet and thanking Him.

In this man heart was peace, gratefulness, and a feeling of relief so he could tell others of His Savior and the good He can do for you if you have FAITH.

The other men were probably only concern of being healed.

What part of this teaching by Jesus do you find hard to accept and why?
The part about forgiving someone seven times. In todays world as a Christian, people have a lot to say about our believes, we are constantly scrutinized, and judge according to mistakes of others. However, our mandate is to forgive no matter how many times we are wronged. This has nothing to do with "once bitten, twice shy." I don't think God will along that person to continuously do you harmful things, at some point God will remove that person. It is a hard task, but we have to keep the faith, because we cannot do with our strength, we need Jesus!

How does the host respond when people reject his dinner invitation in order to pursue their possessions and relationships?

The host respond in disbelief, is not pleased because all his dinner will now go to waste unless he does something quick.

Jesus is calling us to leave everything behind and come in and sup with Him, have some spiritual food. He is also teaching us not to take the Word of God to some people and reject others because in His sight all are equal.

The man probably invited  people in the upper class to his dinner and they all had excuses for not being able to attend, but when Jesus heard  this, He told the servants to go out into the highways and byways and bring in the poor, the lame, the hungry and all who have nothing to eat and so they will be filled.

You see the well does not need a doctor, but the sick does. We should preach the gospel to those who want to be fed and who is thirsting after the righteousness of God.

By the time those people finish pursing their business it will be too late, they will be like the five virgins who were shut out because their had to go and refill their lamps. This host is Jesus, while some of us represent the invitees who will not turn up, we will be too busy but God waits on no man. He gives us a chance to repent and to seek Him. He is awesome.
