768 entries for this category: I think Jesus was touched by the determination of the man, because the crowd was so thick his friends lowered him from the roof to reach Jesus. So it was his faith that caused Jesus to forgive first and then heal him. We are called to forgive others who wrong us before we ask for God's forgiveness or healing. God is a forgiving God, He is worthy of our praise. Why did Jesus forgive the man`s sins first, and heal afterward?

Why did Jesus heal by touching the man with leprosy (a contageous disease)? Jesus touch the leper to signify the power of having faith. Our mandate is not to scorn or scoff, but with out trust and faith as Jesus touch the leper, He wants us not to doubt our faith in Him.
