How do Jesus` words make you feel? You may want to save your answer as "Private"

Jesus words make me examine my life, take an in-depth look at who I am and where I am in my spiritual life. It sometimes scares me and bring tears to my eyes when I listen to a sermon or read the Bible about the suffering Jesus went through for me and to know His grace and mercy brought me through to this very day. His words are so powerful, yet because He is a forgiving God we sometimes take things for granted and go in our comfort zone. Jesus promises are secure, so I trust in His promise that He will never leave me nor forsake me, because of all this I have given my life to Him, the one thing I need to do now, is to be baptised by water. I love the Lord with all my heart, He is my friend.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

Intimacy with Jesus is having a personal relationship with Him, knowing Him as your own Lord and Savior. He is willing to come into your life if you but only receive Him. He says; "if any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture said, from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water." (John 7:37,38) that mean that if we are thirsty for God and want His blessing we should pursue Him.

Prayer and trusting God are effective ways of being intimate with Jesus because you can go away to a private place and talk to Him, that is what prayer is, talking to God. When we trust Him to guide us through the Holy Spirit our intimacy with Him builds.

Obedience is very important in Christian growth, it relates to keeping His commandments, he said love your neighbour as yourself. If we believe in Jesus and have faith in Him we must trust Him.

When we are obedient we become intimate with God because of our personal relationship with Him.

If you had a one-on-one meal with Jesus, what would you discuss?

First I would be so overwhelmed that Jesus would choose a sinner like me to dine with, that I would not stop thanking Him. (but why should I be surprise, Jesus said that people who are well do not need a doctor, or sick people do). I would ask Him to show me where I am going wrong in my daily walk with God, then I would get down on my knees, hold His hands and have Him pray with me and for my family.

I would express my love and care for Him because He died on Calvary Cross for my sins, I would let Him know I am thirsty for the living water and invite Him to live in my heart always.
