A person who is lowly is sometimes looked upon as useless, therefore he/she is prone to do desperate things; such as steal, drink and, or even beg to get a meal if there is no job available. That is why Jesus said "come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest". (Matt 11:28) That rest is love, peace and healing. Matthew 20 vrs 29-34 tells you as Jesus left Jericho He passed by two blind beggars on the road, they heard the crowd and knew Jesus was passing and they shouted- Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us, Jesus felt sorry for them, He had compassion on them, touched they eyes and instantly they could see, then they followed Him. These men could become valuable followers of Jesus by spreading the Word of healing and the miracle Jesus did for them. That is the love Jesus has for us, that is how much He values His children. Even at your weakess time, don't give up because Jesus has plans for each and every one of us. We are valuable to Jesus because He paid the price for our sins with His life, He loves us uncondionally. Diana
Jesus claimed that after a future period of destruction and distress, he (The Son of Man) will come back to earth with great power and glory. What did Jesus say he would do at that time?
