Jesus brings life into Galilee, that is like a release from bondage, Jesus is the "bondage breaker". And, by showing us how to live the "fruit of the spirit" brings light into our living. Jesus' teaching truth and the truth set you free, again another term for "release". Jesus puts everything into perspective for those who hears the Truth, He sets out the purpose and the consequences of these Teachings. Like a Shepherd, Jesus goes after His lost sheep, who is volunerable to the waiting wolfs, waiting to devour, so when the wolfs see the Light of the World, they have to flee!

Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation? Jesus wanted to show us that we would be tempted, because we are in the world, but when we call upon God, and directs His word to the temptation, it is removed. This als builds our faith and trust in God.
