1547 entries for this category: I don't think Jesus was trying to incite His own death because He knew for a fact that it was His destiny and purpose to be brought as lamb to be slaughtered for mankind inorder for them to find redemption. Christ has the effect of unifying enemies against Him. Herod and pilate were formerly enemies. But now they had a common enemy who was even more so. Jesus said His teachings would be divisive - even inciting violence, but not unifying. In fact, He willingly submitted to His own unjust execution. But, hallelujah! He is still Alive! and He Reigns for EVERMORE!! Why do some people hate Jesus? Some people hate Jesus (1) They don't know Him, (2) They have been consumed with deceit from the enemy (3) Not connected with Word of God by lack of teaching, wrong resources and recentment.(4) Simply taught not to follow or believe in Christ.

What things can we (the branches) do to help us remain in Jesus (the vine). Keep in communion with Christ ( Watering the Garden), Reading the Word often (Fertilizer) and breaking away from all bad habits, by repentence. (pruning the branches)
