Joseph from the town of Arimathaea was a wealthy Jewish religious leader. What risk did he take and why was he willing to do this? Note: Isaiah 53:9 - "And they made His grave with the wicked, But with the rich at His death."
He took the risk of asking for Jeus' body because he knew He was the Messiah. I could also add, as I believe he might have been sanctioned by God to take care of Jesus's body while still in an earthly state.

What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."
Jesus was feeling sorrow for His accusors, but still had mercy. He was thinking of the victory on the Cross.

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?
They wanted to crucified Jesus because he was the King of the Jews.
