If we love then mercy will flow naturally from us. The bible says that "we ought to love one another as ourselves and tha we esteem each other higher than ourselves". God has love us unconditionally that He gave his only begotten Son, who died in our place because of sin and God in His infinite mercy forgave us and sent His Son to reconcile us back to Him. Our goal should be to live from the mind of Christ.
