Compassionate - Helping the Hurting

Imagine the love you have for your children or a kin. You would without hesitation do what you can for that loved one, particularly if they were in difficulties. That is the measure of your compassion.

Now look at the sacrifice God the father made by sending his child, his kin to save us even unto being scourged, humiliated, rejected and crucified. Can you imagine the pain and anguish the Father must have felt?

In my heart I look at my own children and think about that sacrifice Jesus made for us by doing the will of the Father and dying for our sins and being resurrected to take us home.

The compassion shown by Christ to the many that received his grace was the embodiment of the Father and himself. It was compassion that the creator felt for us that he gave his only begotten son.

Remember that Jesus repeatedly said that he did not do anything of his own accord, but that which he saw his father doing. He was a living testimony of the Father and he glorified, not himself, but the Father.

In some ways we all hurt! But as christians if we hurt we need to rejoice because we are being tested and being taught to persevere to be made upright. Be thankful and glorify our saviour every moment my dear friends. Peace be with you all.

How do you think Peter felt after his discussion with Jesus?
Peter was a bit doubtful of how and why Jesus was continuously asking him the same question, three times. Perhaps this was a symbolized the three times Peter denied Christ. I think.
