Jesus said certain items belong to God that should be given back (rendered) to God. What are these items?
Our whole body and its functions, which is called the "temple of God", things which we possess, have been given by God. "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away"

Why does Jesus place commandments to actively love above commandments to refrain from evil (thou shall notâ€Â¦)? Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18).
I believe in the "Holy Trinity" God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spitit. Jesus is God. God's love is unconditioal and eternal. Jesus illustration in the two greatest commendments is that His grace and mercies will not allow Him to change his mind no matter what, he will love us forever. We are to move from this earthly definition of temporary love to the spiritual meaning of infinate love. How can we say we love God and hate our neighbour?. How can we love two at the same time. When we surrender completely to Jesus, he told us to forsake mother, father, sister, brother etc and love Him with all our hearts, souls and mind. Faith, belief and hope are inter-related with true love.

Jesus knows that we have to pay taxes to run an economy, but not to worship. However, his illustration refers to our commitment to pay our tithes and offering for the estension of his work on earth. We are reminded that money cannot buy salvation and there is no bank in heaven for money except the fact that when we pay our tithes and offering we are sowing seed for harvest and to recieve a blessing.
