Jesus was commited to sacrifice his own life. What did he mean by the statement, "For who ever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel will save it"? As a Christian we have to experience suffering and persecution because we have to carry the cross of Jesus and die with Him in order to rise with Him in glory. When we die in Christ, we guarentee eternal life. Jesus said, :I go to prepare a place for you that where I am you will also be. My role here on earth is to proclaim the Good news of God and the return of Jesus to take us with Him. Praise the Lord.

Jesus took three of his disciples to the top of a mountain to experience dead prophets now alive, and a voice from a cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son, listen to him." If you were one of the disciples, what impact would this experience have on you? A facinating moment for me to get a glimpse of my life after death. We will be transformed from mortal to immortality, but more importantly, the voice of God confirming that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son. As a disciple, from that day onward, if I had doubts, my faith, hope and belief in God would be confirmed as Jesus said "tell no one until the son of man is risen from the dead. I do believe that Jesus risen from the dead and is sitting on the right hand of my father. The same way Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus, we must be expecting the return of Jesus.
