Jesus exaggerates to makes the point that one should eliminate things that cause one to sin (disobey God). What things might you eliminate to be more spiritually healthy? Some of us take Jesus' exaggeration as literal but as I understand, that is to show us how serious and important it is to eliminate things that cause you to sin. To be more spiritually healthy I must eliminate hatred, unforgiveness and all things that does not please God. I should be obedient to God and love as He has loved.
