Being forgiven increase one's love for God in sucuh a profound way that it is incomprehensible. When we sin and go to God in prayer asking for forgiveness, we humble ourselves in his presence knowing that because of His unconditional love he will forgive us. This is because God's forgiveness is motivated through love. In Hebrews11:21, it tells us that we are to pay attention wwhen God corrects us , do be discouraged when he rebukes you., because the Lord corrects every one he loves and punishes everyone he accepts as a son/daughter.

When we are forgiven by God it motivates us to begin a new more open relationship with him. It brings us to want to be forgiving to those who have done us wrong. It helps us to realize that when God forgives us he wipes our slate clean for he knows that sometimes we are going to stray and do wrong but he willing accepts us when we return to him in prayer asking for forgiveness of our sins. Because of this we should be motivated (despite our humanness) to forgive more than the seven times seventy times as mentioned in scripture.

Jesus' words makes me feel that I am very important to him and that he cares. It also makes me realizze that he does not hold my wrong doings and inconsistencies against me. As long as I go to him with humbleness and a contrite heart, he will forgive me because of his unconditional love.
