Jesus said if you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire and it will be done for you. If we believe in the Father, He gives us that desire and longing to remain in Him. Jesus wanted to make them clean spiritually and He wanted Judas to see the love He had for them even though he would betray Him and He was going to be crucified. I think in reality it was to make Judas feel guilty in knowing that this man is going to die, He knows I am His betrayer, yet He allows me to be present at the washing of the disciples feet. Jesus love for us is so strong He forgives us though we still have to be punished for our wrong doings. What things can we (the branches) do to help us remain in Jesus (the vine).

What sort of place do you think Jesus is preparing for you? As a believer, a Christian and a new person in Christ, I know Jesus is preparing a place for me where I can be with Him. A place of Peace, Joy and Comfort, a place in His Father's house, a place of eternal hope.
