Peter was the one disciple whom Jesus left to take care of His people. Jesus asked him three times if he loved Him and told him to take care of His people. Why did Jesus allow Judas to betray Him, when He clearly knew Judas` evil intention? This was the way Jesus was suppose to die for our sins, by the hands of His own people. The will of the Father had to be fulfiled.

Why are Jesus` followers called "children of light"? Jesus followers are called children of light because Jesus is the light of the world and all who follow, trust and obey Him will be called to follow Him. He said if He be lifted up from the cross, He will draw all men unto Him.
