Being "light" our lives should shine forth with the message and truth of Jesus Christ. The way we speak, act, dress and in general conduct ourselves should shine as a Christian so brightly that sinners will be jealous and want the happiness and joy that should radiate from us In what ways are Jesus` followers salt and light to the world?

Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Because he wanted to feel what mandkind was feeling and for mankind to understand that nothing in this life is a short cut are easy, and for us to know that he could just prove who he really is and they would have to set him free, but instead he take the long road for us to see and know they r no easy way out for us he didnt have to do it but he did it anyway to give us an example to live by.

"Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) I believe Jesus was preparing his people for what a head, not inciting his death.
