What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."
Jesus didn't feel upset or frustrated because he knew he was on the side of the truth and that he was right and the soldiers were wrong. Jesus felt sad for the soldiers because they were not on the right way. I guess Jesus was anxiously praying for them for forgiveness from God. Jesus was strong and sure and firm in his heart and soul although extremely weak and bitter physically. He knew how wonderful the heaven was and the pains in the world on earth was fleet. He had mercy and passion for the soldiers more than how he felt about himself.

When Peter realised he had denied knowing Jesus, why did he cry?

Peter cried because he realized his cowardliness and weakness. He once firmly believed himself in loving with Jesus will strong will but now the truth showed true himself in front of danger and death. He was ashamed of himself and felt guilty and realized himself nobody but a sinner.

I understand how Peter felt. If it were I, I would have done the same thing - to disown Jesus to protect myself. Actually I often tend to protect myself by betraying or leaving. I am rather a sinner. What a big love it is to sacrifice for people around me! I pray to the Lord Jesus to give me new life so that I have the power to love, to give, to sacrifice. Amen!

What did the blind man acknowledge about Jesus by calling him the "Son of David."? Note: David was a great king of Israel. The "Messiah" was predicted to be a direct descendent of David, as Jesus was.
The blind man acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah, who was the new King of Israel after David, and who would save the Jews from slavery and crush. He had all his hopes on Jesus and strongly wished Jesus would cure him from blindness.
