339 entries for this category: This is my 4th time trying to type up my answer. (I suppose my previous ones were too long, and it logged me out.) Anyways though, we must remember that Jesus was God incarnate. Him and the Father were one. He was in complete control over every situation. He was not surprised at anything. He allowed everything to happen to Him in order to both fufill the many prophecies that had been written concerning him, as well as to show those around him His glory and thereby, hopefully have them put their trust in Him. Though yes, he was really hard on the temple leaders, it was neccessary to break through their pride and many calloused layers. You can see in John 8, as He is telling them that He is the light of the world, they are refusing to believe Him. Their whole world is being rocked by what He is saying, and for that, they hate Him. Jesus never did fit OUR expectations. But then again, His ways are so much higher than our ways. He uses the foolish things of this world in order to humble the proud. Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?
