In what ways do followers of Jesus fish for men? What does this mean? Fishing is of course not live stock-farming,but a kind of hunting.Then the brothers were primarily hunters.But Jesus made them hunters fishing for men.Furthermore this fishing is not pole-and-line,but by a fishing net the catch of many fish at once.At least a family of two brothers who know each other`s mind well takes over a portion of the work and does things in close cooperation on the angry lake.A ship is knocked around and fish are quick.So Romanized societies were.

Salt makes food tasty and a true Christian words are tasty! This takes me back to my primary education in the dusty street of Ashton (Western Cape, South Africa) were I was born. In the early 1980's we had a teacher called Mr Walaza, at the time it was a pre-requisite that daily the schools must have prayer assemblies before we enter the classrooms. Everytime it was his turn, he will says "Students you are the salt and light" and he said "Amen". He repeted this verse for all my primary years. In Africa during the 1950 to late 1990's most of the rural area had no electricity light or no lampoils but one will lit the area with the cow-dung its amazing how the one litted house cow dung will be used to lit the entire village. If one christian has salt and light s/he can change many lives. Just like so many teachers change many lives of students through their knowledge (salt and light). So the light of knowing Jesus it's above all these proverbs I mentioned. Jesus light and salt the heal the blind, the lame and the sick. So if you remain in him spotless, blameless and faithfull, you are the light. The man who was the preacher at one of the churches I attended "African Gospel Church" Mr Dawethi used to say, when this christian speaks I feel hungry for his words like a dog that is hungry for food. And you will really see him physically healed by the salty christian without going to the doctor he will come out of his sick bed. So it is better to be a salt and light in your assembly.
