While my lack of confidence and trust in the Lord stops me to achieve anything pleasant but only doubts, worries and fears. This question helps me re-think these "shortages" as treasures to look deep into myself, people around me and our lives. I can become a consultant or counsellor about vocational career or soul education or people intercourse. What characteristics of a rich person make it harder to receive the Kingdom of God? He who is rich has got a lot from the world and quite enjoys the life in the world. Hence, he often hesitates to abandon all his properties and his familiar life to alter to another totally different life style without what he has got. The love for money stops the love for God and that makes a rich person hard to receive the Kingdom of God.

What is in the heart of the tax collector (rejected by society) that the Pharasee (religious leader) seems to lack? The tax collector is humble and commits his sins and begs the Lord to pardon him. He knows he has nothing to be regarded as good in front of the Lord. What he can ask from the Lord is only forgiveness instead of any compliments. And this is what the Pharasee seems to lack.
