He once firmly believed himself in loving with Jesus will strong will but now the truth showed true himself in front of danger and death. He was ashamed of himself and felt guilty and realized himself nobody but a sinner. I understand how Peter felt. If it were I, I would have done the same thing - to disown Jesus to protect myself. Actually I often tend to protect myself by betraying or leaving. I am rather a sinner. What a big love it is to sacrifice for people around me! I pray to the Lord Jesus to give me new life so that I have the power to love, to give, to sacrifice. Amen! When Peter realised he had denied knowing Jesus, why did he cry?

What did the blind man acknowledge about Jesus by calling him the "Son of David."? Note: David was a great king of Israel. The "Messiah" was predicted to be a direct descendent of David, as Jesus was. The blind man acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah, who was the new King of Israel after David, and who would save the Jews from slavery and crush. He had all his hopes on Jesus and strongly wished Jesus would cure him from blindness.

The common people are praising Jesus, expecting him to become Israel`s next king. Jesus knew they would turn against him a few days later when he disappointed their expectation. Do you have expections of Jesus which he did not promise? Yes, there must have been some, although I cannot remember clearly. My problem is that I can seldom hear or feel Jesus. Hence, I can't distinguish which is promised my him and which not, in some case, at least. I pray to the Lord that he give me new ears and new heart so that I can hear and feel him. Amen!
