Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? In the era of the Old Testament, people were asked to follow the Law. But they might not know exactly why they must do that. While in the era of the New Testament, we are told about the reason, that is, God loves us and the Law is to teaching us to do things in the right way. The Law was issued with Love, which was revealed brightly by Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection. So people of the New Testament are asked to love each other as well as to love God, which is a new commandment compared with that in the Old Testament.

How do Jesus` words make you feel? You may want to save your answer as "Private" Jesus' words gives me light and hope. He helps me to know the reason why I feel bitter is that I have lived in a wrong way because I have had a wrong notation with a life of non-good. He helps me to realize that I am not abandoned or rejected although I did wrongly and I can be better although I was not good.
Once I felt cold about Jesus and his words because I could not imagine how Jesus was like as if his words were stark dogma. But when I know more about the historical background when Jesus was born and lived, and more details about his communications with people, I can feel him and his words more lively than before.
