Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus? It is Satan trying to stop Jesus thru Peter.Because Peter thought of protecting Jesus and felt that Jesus should not die which is what men would think but not realising that it is God`s will that Jesus have to take the cross and be crucified.

Why did Jesus take just Peter, James and John with Him to witness his transfiguration? The Trasfiguration withnessed by Peter, James and John was to built their faith.
This faith is not just something that can be taught but faith is something that one feels
and believe.
