(Mat 10:29-31) Jesus draws more attention to lowly people than he does to someone else. Because those who are well do not need a physician but those who are ill. Jesus' desire is for mercy, not sacrifice. For he has come not to call the righteous but sinners. (Mat 9:12-13) In my oppinion, lowly people are not only those who are poor, timid or disabled, but also those who are not able in characteristics or social interaction, such as who are impolite, irritable, aggresive, un-cooperative, guilty, immersed in bitter memories, etc. They are seemingly unfriendly or even hateful. But in Jesus' eyes, they are lowly, too, spiritually. They are valued by Jesus because they are the hurting.
Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
