How does Luke claim to distinguish his biography of Jesus from other recorded biographies from eyewitnesses (e.g. Matthew and John)?
(1)Even though many undertake to set in in order a narrative concerning those matters which have been fulfilled among us,even as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word delivered them to us ,it seemed good to me ,to write to you in order. (2)And it seemed good to me also,to write to you having traced the course of all thing accurately from the first.(3)So that your Excellency may learn how well founded the teaching is that you have received.................................. Luke`s own decision to write a connected narrative of these events could be a desire to improve on the word of his predecessors, an anxiety to refute false information that had been coming to the ears of inquirers such as Theophilus, or simply a sense that there was a need for a third "gospel" based,as such history ought to be,on the traditions handed down to us by the original eyewitnesses.Reference:Harvey,Companon to the New Testament

Since Luke was researching for a high government official, "Most Excellent Theophilis", how many eyewitnesses (and who) do you think Luke interviewed before writing his report?
Because Paul said that Christ appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time and over 87 apostles(!0:1-12),(1Corinthians 15:5-8),Luke interviewed some thirty years after Jesus lived, including women at least 500 of the brothers and sisters. If you add the healed people who Jesus did and some of the crowd having followed him,the sum who Luke interviewed was more than one thousand poeple. He had interviews with Paul and Peter and The Twelve and Mary,Jesus`mother,Mary of Magdala.Besides if you must add 5 thousand people who Jesus gave food in his miracle(9:1-6),Luke was able to get interviews with 6 thousand people.

What main or new things did you learn by studying Mark`s biography of Jesus?
Jesus who had godly power was suddenly dying a humiliating and agonizing death of cross by violence. The Twelve betrayed Jesus cowardly misunderstanding him.
