What was Jesus feeling and thinking while he was mocked and humiliated in front of others? Recall Jesus` own teachings (Matt 5:11), "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."

Jesus was feeling that he was despised and rejected by men, himself a man of sorrows ,familiar with suffering,and a man to make people screen their faces; people took no account of him.(Isaiah:53:3) ,but he was thinking that Yahweh beares his holy arm in the sight of all nations,and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of God.(Isaiah 52:10)

The Roman governor, Pilate, found that Jesus had done nothing wrong. Yet, he authorized Jesus` crucifixion to please the crowd. Can you explain why people put popularity above doing what is right?

Because the agitation of the chief priests for envy made people blind about their judgment between right and wrong. Envy disorders human thinking and besides stirring up strengths it,and drives into poeple`s self-love.

When Peter realised he had denied knowing Jesus, why did he cry?

Because when Jesus predicted that verily I say to you, that this day before the rooster crows twice,you will deny me three times(Mark 14:30),Peter insisted that if I should die with you, I will not deny you in any wise.(Mark 14:31) but he recognized that he broke the oath easily,and betrayed Jesus weakly.then Peter wept as you.
